Has anybody used any of those body lotions (or leg lotions) that are specifically for retarding hair growth? I get my legs waxed and would love to have a little bit of help with keeping the hair away for as long as possible, but I've always been a bit skeptical of these products as I don't want to be loading up my body with chemicals just to get shorter hair for longer. I have tried the Thalgo Biodepyl stuff and found it ok. But nothing will retard your hair growth like a nice zap of IPL.:chuckle: Unfortuneately nothing will completely slow you growth down. The hair is fed by a blood supply and unless you can effect this (which is how the likes of electrolysis and IPL/laser work) then any effect they will give you will only be temporary and short lived and will require constant maintenance :rollthoseeyes: frustrating I know! Please let me know if you do find one that works :penguin: I love to fnd one that works myself :hugs::waving:

One can have ones nunu zapped fullyf ro around the $100 mark er treatment (4-6 treatment required) underarms i have seen aorund for as little as $50/treatment. Bigger areas are bigger $$'s looking at around $800 ++ for full leg /treatment.:flames: so while it will solve your hair retarding issues the $$'s are definitely an issue.

I just wonder how much the lotion retarders really retard. I just don't want to be slathering a particular body lotion with a particular smell that I'm not that fond of every single for the teensiest bit of a difference. I hope one day when laser becomes more popular the price goes down, because I know I will never be able to afford it at this rate!

I only ever wax, after years of shaving.... so, I am not sure whether this product is what you call a "retarder" or not... but I once used "Nair".. I bought at the chemist... Kept it on for the recommended time b4 washing it off.... It took all the hairs off, but also took my skin off with it!!!!! I was in agony... I had to get antibiotic creams from the doctors... I couldnt even keep my arms down... I Felt like a dik.. I was walking around like a body builder .. :chuckle::chuckle: I'd rather give birth... lol... Never again!!!

I can't use those creams either. They burn my skin too. When you think about the way they disolve hair in mere minutes it's pretty potent stuff.
