Hi, I'd posted this elsewhere on the forum and was advised to ask you about this Allison.

I was introduced to alpha-h about a month ago. I've been using liquid gold. I love it so much that I've bought a couple of the starter kits to try more of the range. I'm usually really good with skincare, but as glycolic is a new ingredient for me, i'm frustrated to say that I can't figure out a good routine for myself with this range! HELP!

My main skincare concerns are blockages and spots in Tzone, deyhydration elsewhere. I also have light pigmentation on my cheeks which liquid gold is rapidly sorting out. My skin type is a classic combination, oily down the T zone, dry on the cheeks. I'm 28 and don't have many aging worries at the moment. Incidently, mylight pigmentation marks aren't caused by excess sunbathing, I always stay out of the sun. I'm on the pill, which i think has made me more pigment-prone.

The products I have are:

Triple Action and Balancing cleansers
Liquid Gold (hooray!!)
Daily SPF 30
Rejuevenating cream
Balancing Moisturiser
Glycolic Mask
Clay Mask
Microcleanse

So far I've been using balancing cleaner and Liquid gold at night (on its own for a few nights, and with rejueventating cream on top for a few nights) and Triple action cleanser and spf30 in the morning. These were from the first kits i bought. Now I don't know how to slot the others in. Can you help me devise a routine please?

Any advice you could give me would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Microcleanse 2-3 times a week.
Mask 1-2 times a week after Microcleanse.
You coud just apply the moisturiser to the drier areas if you like.

Hi Murph,

Am
Triple Action
then apply balancing moisturiser to areas of congestion and rejuvenating moisturiser else where (and neck and décolletage)

then apply an eye cream and your Daily SPF 30

PM
cleanse with triple action cleanser
apply your liquid gold (every second night is fine)
then apply balancing moisturiser to areas of congestion and rejuvenating moisturiser else where (and neck and décolletage)
and apply your eye cream

Exfoliate with your microcleanse two-three times a week after cleansing.

apply your clay mask and then your Glycolic Mask once a week or you can space them by applying them at separate times in the week (it works well if you cleanse then exfoliate first on the days that you are applying your masks)

Use your balancing cleanser when you are going through dry patches.. (which can happen during winter time)

Now you said that you were concerned about pigmentation that has come up since you started on the pill. This probably won't go away until you are off the pill. The pill mimics the body's state in pregnancy therefore women often get melasma or 'chloasma' (the pregnancy' mask').

If the condition had been caused by sun damage and environmental factors I would look at introducing some specific products to treat it, but at this stage I think the only way to ascertain if the pigmentation is permanent is to remove the cause.

I hope all this helps!
