Can anyone recommend an eyeshadow, preferably matte, that is in between lavendar and grey. I have blue eyes. A duo would probably make it easier to match with a liner shade, but I do have a dark purple and charcoal eyeshadow that I could use.

I would try Clinique or Estee Lauder if I were you. They have great matte powder eyeshadows in a variety of not-too-out-there colours. Great texture and very wearable shades. I'm sure they would have what you're looking for!

Yup - I second Oz - particularly about Clinique.

Fourthd-ed! CA I have the Colour Surge duo in Blackberry Frost and it's just lovely. Looks quite purple on-screen but the lighter colour is a lilac-grey, and the deeper one is a blackberry (funnily enough)-charcoal.

You could also try Stila eyeshadow pan in 'Charm' or 'Key':

Or M.A.C eyeshadow in 'Digit' or 'Idol eyes':

These colours would be divine with your baby blues, you lucky thing...

oohh I have some clinique ones that sound like what you are after - i got them a year or so ago so not sure if they'd still be in stock but would be certain they'd have a new similar one out.

also lancome have good ones too... good luck! :waving:

i should first confess that i'm a bit of a napoleon floozy at the moment - but i find the colour discs are matt and are easy to apply as little or much as you want: #1, #3 and #12 are the more purple-ish ones

also, in the ultra pearl i have #13 frosty lilac which i can wear during day because it is not too shimery

it is a while since i used estee lauder, but i always found their shadows to be very long lasting and good matt colour (the down side is the $$$)

Did someone say Clinique? :chuckle:

I too love their eyeshadows. I'm looking for a sort of pearlescent beige one at the moment.

At the momeny I am really liking Bourjois eyeshadows along with the Playboy shadows available at Priceline. The have great blendability and are very reasonably priced. For a more prestige brand I don't think you can go past the Christian Dior Palettes. Clinique and Estee Lauder have a great range. I just realised I have far too many eye shadows.

I have not tried their eyeshadows but have a few blushes - these are lovely. The packaging with the little mirror is lovely too. And that sweet, old-fashioned scent!

I just read about the great Clinique GWP on at the moment, so I will definitely be checking them out. Do they have a good concealer for dark circles around the eyes, similar consistency to YSL Touche Eclat?

Thanks everyone! :worship:

Yes! They have one (can't remember what it's called sorry) that has a delivery mechanism very similar to the Touche Eclat and a really good concealer to boot.

Thanks, girls. Went with Clinique color surge eyeshadow duo in Lilac Truffle. I tried to find a pic, but the screen doesn't do it justice. Great GWP! :clapping:

I asked for a concealer for my dark circles and she got me the Line Corrector one. Didn't think I looked wrinkly! :tears:

They also threw in the Myer Emporium magazine, so I am very lucky. You also get a voucher for a 12 month Shop Til You Drop subscription for $29.

Thanks again. :worship:

Yep that's it. The SA just picked it out for me. Not sure why she went with that one in particular, there was no 'selling' technique used. I forgot to use it this morning... doh! But I am wearing the duo.

I know this is a bit late but thought I would post my suggestion anyway. I have a really nice eye cake by Pop Cosmetics in Violet Eyes. They cost around $45 and have a number of shades per eye cake.

Thanks, that is nice. The middle shade is pretty much what I was after. The darker colour in the Clinique duo is tiny, so no doubt I'll be revisiting this thread when it runs out!

I have the Pop Smokey Eyes pallette in the black wallet. Must admit I've only really used the colours wet as eyliner so far though.

Medusa, I find the Pop Eyecakes really nice but I would recommend wearing a good eye primer underneith for extra staying power. I don't have much trouble keeping eye shadows on when I prime first with Benefits Lemon Aid but I think the Pop eycakes definitely need a primer for staying power.
