View Full Version : My imaginary purchases

As some of you may know I am on a pre-wedding money diet. I am finding this diet very hard and am suffering serious withdrawals as a result. So I thought I would dedicate this thread to purchases I want to make and fantasize about making. I love clothes so have posted it here but may add non-fabric imaginary purchases too.
For example, today I have been pretend-shopping for clothes to wear to my honeymoon in Vanuatu. This is one of my imaginary purchases:
http://www2.victoriassecret.com/commerce/application/Sale/?namespace=productDisplay&origin=onlineProductDisplay.jsp&event=display&prnbr=3J-209971&size=XS%20(0-2)&rfnbr=3678
More are sure to come. :)

Hey thanks for the info on Bluefly Rosie! What a fab site. Prices are REALLY good but they sting you on the international postage - ouch! I would love the following, I have the exact pair in black and they cost around $400 here!

No that does not classify as a one peice in my book either TBA. Its a bikini with a T bar is what it is. Those Tankini things really get my goat too. They are suppossed to cover more but they always do the tops too short so your muffin top is still showing. Not a good look!

Sarah, I would guess $800-$1000 as that is the general price range for SR sandals. Boots and formed shoes range from $1200-$2000.
You may pick them up cheaper on ebay, but if I am making such a major purchase I prefer to buy them from retailer with all the bang and whistles.
These babies would look fabulous on any foot! :waving:

I adore purple and I adore boots so I adore these beauties! I was upset because the other day because I was watching a gorgeous vintage skirt on ebay – high-waisted, black lace pencil skirt, 60s style – and I forgot to bid on it then went away for a few days then it was sold for $2.00! It looked like it was worth much more than that! I have always wanted a chic, cocktail-style black lace skirt. Poo!

This from Harrods, it's Estee Lauder and we are ignoring the price in a BIG way (it is currently$114AUD). This IS an imaginary purchase after all..........

Thats not too bad considering that they are collectors pieces and will be a great heirloom to pass down to you kids. $114 is a steal i have seen the for $300+ before

I love this sort of thing and I agree with TBA - the price is actually quite good.

I know! I had a couple of things I was 'watching' with the intention to bid at the last minute. But then I forgot about them and they were sold to someone else! :(

I'm getting those Homy Ped shoes I mentioned on here - before Melbourne! I tried them on today, and they are divinely comfy. And I DO need a nice pair of comfy shoes for the Adorables weekend............

Yesterday I wore what I usually feel are very comfy (even leather lined) slingbacks for my day out with bestie. I had a pair of slides in the car just in case. Well, you should have seen my feet last night, even though I changed into slides (albeit only two hours before we finished up. They are still sore today, must admit we did a lot of walking yesterday!

Today I imaginarily bought a pair of cream wide-leg linen/cotton pants from Sportsgirl, and this GORGEOUS colourful silver bangle inlaid with different colours of enamel in the shapes of leaves and a parrot!

And what the hell, I bought the matching ring too. http://www.silvershop.com.au/shop/product.php?productid=650&cat=32&page=1 The bracelet looks so much more gorgeous in real life than in the pic!
