On JS or you?
Straight up I think its an older woman's hairstyle. For over 45's.

I like it KP. You need to have a bit of weight to your hair, I would never be able to maintain it though I do like it.

I suggest you don't listen to the jealous person who told you that! :explode:
I think it is fine to go for a new look but choose one you like rather than trying to please someone else. :hugs:
Personally that style reminds me of Heather Locklear and I don't think it would suit a younger person. Also would require a lot of styling/product to make it look right.
Maybe try something sleeker, it would look professional without looking older.

I like it, but it looks like it would take a lot of product & styling.
I think it looks a bit hard on JS with all that blonde, and heavy m/u, but with your hair being darker, it will look very classy.

Thanks guys, you are all awesome. Knew I could count on you!! :hugs:
I asked my boyfriend and he basically picked out all the hot pictures of celebrities with great... aherm... upper bodies. Cos you know that has so much to do with hair!! :shakehead:

I like it. It's kind of "Texas big hair" but re-interpreted in quite a modern way. I like root volume a lot, so yeah, I think it's kinda nice. Big yet straight and not too overdone. I also quite like how the ends are cut - they don't taper into anything, they're just cut bluntly. Yeah, I like it.

Personally i love Jessica Simpson to death so i love all her hair dos (get it "hair dos") . Its a classy hair cut and i think if your looking for something to mature you its a good choice. That photo was taken at a publicity thingy for her Dessert products.

Freaking love it! Esp the lengths, beware the fringe and use lots of root boosting product x:clapping:

It's a bit Melrose Place, although I think that's the frosty highlights more than anything :whipcrack: I think on darker hair it would probably look good.

I suggest a dark chocolate brown with cramel highlights through the top and a splice through the fringe a bit thicker.

Like the hairstyle. However is it just me or does Jessica Simpson kind of look like she could pass for a tv news reader anchor women thingy in that pic?

Thanks guys your input is awesome.
I have made an appointment for tomorrow night. I havent had my hair cut for over a year, and even then it was just a trim.
I have changed my mind a bit, thinking of going kind of like this now!!

The second one is a bit younger and more undone, whereas the first one is perhaps a little more polished. It really depends on your look, where you work, your personality etc!

I agree with Miss Oz, the first is very structured and 'done' where the second is more casual.

Love em both!
I think they are similar cuts, perhaps the Jess one is just more polished off (ie more product and appliances in use) and the Mandy one is a tossle and go kinda effect.... got me thinking bout going the chop now... hmmmmmmmm

KP, love the Mandy Moore one - I think it's actually a similiar cut to JS but with more movement. Definitely more modern and the warm colour is good too.

Im in a law firm, and I do really need a professional look. I am just scared of looking too hard, if you know what I mean? My lifestyle on the weekends is completely different to my career. i live on the beaches and we are completely relaxed. dont want to be styling it all the time!!
Hair drives me nuts. Its the bain marie of my life. ha.
I LOVE the Mandy Moore cut. I think you could make it look more structured if you needed to as well.

The JS one makes her look hard because of the colourof her hair, and the makeup she is wearing, rather than the cut.
The MM one could work as a casual one or could be a bit more formal with a bit of extra styling.

I cut it tonight guys. very much like the Mandy one. I think they cut the fringe a bit short but overall im happy.
It feels so strange having short hair again!!

I quite like both the hair styles. I think any hair that is shorter will make you look a little older, but dont let that be the only reason you cut your hair - make sure you want to do it, otherwise you will hate it no matter how fabulous it is!
They are similar styles, the mandy moore one is more blow wavy and the jessica simpson one is straigher and more structured as previously mentioned. Why dont you take both pics to the HD and see if they can do something that would allow you to style it both ways!
