Does anyone have beauty rituals on certain nights of the week? On thursday I have my "get ready for the weekend" ritual which consists of a manicure and pedicure, exfoliation, fake tan and deep treatment.

On sunday I have a shower with candles to relax, deep treatment, facial mask and exfoliation. Then I smother myself in moisturiser and thrown on my flannies :ashamed:

Does anyone else do anything like this?

K Princess what a great thread idea; I love beauty rituals!

I have a Sunday morning ritual. While beau is playing golf I hop in the shower and put in a leave-in blonde toner shampoo. While it is 'working' I hop back out and shave my legs, underarms, bikini area with my lady shaver. Then I hop back in, wash out the shampoo and put in a treatment conditioner, leaving it in while I wash the rest of me. Sometimes I even wash the shower itself! Then I rinse out, hop out (again!) and complete my usual other rituals.

Sometimes on a Friday or Saturday night I have a bath ritual, which involves candles, essential oils and bath oil or bubbles, a glass of red, some chocolate and a face mask. Bliss!

Anywhere from Friday to Saturday is bath night. Bubbles, candles, a mask and a good book. In early summer this can include a glass of wine.

Wednesdays I tend to put a mask on and watch Cold Case.

I usually just cry quietly to myself to mourn the loss of the weekend :tears:

Ha ha ha ha, just kidding. Sunday night is a deep clean facial, manicure and immersion in body moisturiser.

I usually do my nails, exfoliate my whole body and moisturise all over (usually Ima lazy and just do the legs, arms and bust when I get out of the shower). I also put a treatment in my hair. Pluck, shave and wax any stray hairs and whiten my teeth.

Sunday Night is bath night for me. I fill the bath with as many nice smellies as I can manage and have the water nice and hot and filled with bubbles. I have a couple of scented candles going and have a Kenny G cd going in the bakgroung. Last night I used in my bath:

Lush Sex Bomb Bath Ballistic
Creamy Candy Bubble Bar Slice
Melting Marshmallow Moment Bath Melt
Rock Star Soap
Snow Fairy Bath & Shower Gel
A massive Tablespoon of The Body Shop's Milk Bath

Monday and Thursdays are facial nights for me. This involves:

A double cleanse
15 Minutes under the steamer
Exfoliation
Massage with Facial Oil
Mask
Tone, serum, moisturiser and eye cream!

:chuckle: I don't know...I am always looking for masks that do two things simultaneously - decongest the skin AND calm any senstivities. I was thinking maybe Decleor or Clarins, not sure which one. I am (trying to be) on a pre-wedding money diet too, which is why my supplies have lapsed!

I have a different type of Sunday night ritual - I like to be home by myself and I wear a daggy old tracky, and watch tv - Big Brother, Ugly Betty, Grey's then What About Brian - before going to bed. It's my chill out time. Mind you - I am looking forward to these shows ending so I can create a new routine! Possibly involving baths and masks, or friends and food!!!

I thought I was the only one who was like this! Sunday is my lazy pamper day. After the week/weekend! it's good to relax and pamper. Generally a long shower and exfoliation does the trick. And thursdays are my bath days. Candles lit, bath running and a face mask. Very relaxing!

That's like me too, although I do have my own space... I dont have one set night to do anything....

I exfoliate face every few days well it is just part of my regular routine.... I use a loofah for body whenever I get the feeling I should really buff my body - I moisturise daily.. either with body lotion or body butter.

I don't do facials or go and have a facial done either....

I don't paint my finger nails I file when and if necessary.... I do a home pedicure with my Mum every 4-6 weeks give or take a couple of weeks either side...

I go to the beauty therapist once a month for eye brow shape/wax + lash tint - although I might do a little tweeze now and then and that can be on a sunday night!

I'm pretty lazy, keep things simple...

Hmm I sorta have rituals

Thursday or Friday (depends on any upcoming events) I usually do my face masks (exfoliating and moisturinsing), shave my legs etc.

Sunday night I try to file my nails, sometimes they get a coat of my OPI repair polish, check out my toenails to see if they need attending to, do a body scrub and slather on the moisturiser before throwing on my jimmy jams to watch all my shows - Ugly Better, Greys, and What about Brian... bliss!!

I'm having a huge weekend in!!!!!!! I have no invitations and no committments to followi up just all me by myself all weekend. I'm going to have a beauty night on Saturday night and then watch tv and have a glass or 2 of wine and enjoy myself. This is starting to be a ritual of mine ever my social life has taken a battering lately due to the weather, bad bridesmaid issues and recently being dumped in a small town. So i've taken to making myself feel better by doing all the girlie things we all enjoy and also the things we don'ty always get around to in our busy lives.

-face mask
-body scrub
-hair treatment
-shave legs
-file, buff and paint nails
-same with toenails
-pluck eyebrows
-was biniki line - not lookig forward to this in this cold weather
-moisturise like i'm a sultana
-apply fake tan to legs first then rest of the body next weekend if i'm happy with result
-blown dry hair
-buff adn scrub everything i can scrub
-put a hand treatment on with white cotton gloves
-pick up the glass of wine and the remote and sit back and relax

With all this planned and i'm looking forward to it i bet someone will interupt me!! I hope so

Oh my gosh... I don't have any particular days of the week where I have a ritual! No wonder I feel like I don't have anything to look forward too!

throughout the week I'm like..."meh, haven't done a mask for a while I'll do one tonight!"

Well as it turns out i was ask over for dinner that night to a mates place so i didn't get time to do the teaspoons. But i am in desperate need of them this weekend, i've got deep lines, dark circles and puffy galore, so i'm not going out saturday night so i'll do it then and you know.

Wow..i thought mine was lots-my little sis always teases me about these kinds of forums and the tons of moisturisers I own.:redcheeks:

Well my routine is sort of just moisturiser on my legs, arms, shoulders, feet every second night. Im scared I'll become allergic if I do it too often. With my Body Shop Almond body butter of course..yumm:clapping:

Oh and I exfoliate (with a loofah) my whole body everytime I shower (with those cream scrubs with the blue beads) and If i feel i've built up moisturisers on my legs, I use those battery operated exfoliators (where the little exfoliator head spins around).

Oh and put on some pimple cream on any spots.

Then if im not feeling lazy might paint my toenails:yawn: And wax my legs if i need to.

Am i meant to do more as I get older (im only 21)? I like the sound of face masks and milk baths like others have mentioned..sounds good

I've recently learnt that eveyrone should so some sort of face mask once a week, to draw out the impurites etc. Add milk baths are just heavanly and they smell great and are great for your skin, you get out feel smooth and hydrated.

It's not just for physical stuff that this benefits either, that time off, to just be is very important for emotional and mental health as well. It's a time to relax, and destress. As you get older you appreciate it more I think (I am older than most of you, so I can say that).

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I couldn't agree more Rosie! :hugs:

Sunday nights are MY time and I really look forward to it! I run a deep warm bath (not too hot!) with bubbles and/or oil. While the bath is running, I wash my face and then apply a scrub or mask. Then I relax in the bath (often with a glass of wine!) for ten minutes while the mask does its thang! Rinse off the mask, then shave legs, exfoliate all over, pumice feet etc. Slather moisturiser all over body, then do some special feet and hand massages. Finally, I tone, treat and moisturise my face! It is just divine... Roll on next Sunday :)

This is exactly how i feel, i get all my house work done sunday morning so i'm free to do whatever i want at night time. I love the feeling of getting into bed when you know you could not be any cleaner or smoother if you tried and not to mention smelling fabulous aswell. I've got 4 weeks until i'm a bridesmaid for a friend so these sunday night rituals are getting kicked up a notch and i'm making sure i don't slacken off because it crucial now more than ever. Also today i woke up with 4 pimples on my chin and around my mouth, so i'm zapping those too.

Last Sunday's ritual:

Bath filled with Fa Yoghurt and Vanilla bubbles
Wash face with Alpha-H Triple Action cleanser
Apply Alpha-H Purifying Clay mask (first time I've used this -- I like it! Thought at first that it would dry too 'hard' but it was fine. Washes off easily, too! Leaves skin smooth and clean...)
Relax for 10 minutes, enjoying a couple of yummy Ferrero Rochers :)
Shave legs etc
Exfoliate all over with Dove Body Glow shower cream and my shower puff
Pumice feet, then rinse off and dry!
Moisturise all over - Clinique Deep Comfort Body Moisture (good ol' Nivea on feet!)
The Body Shop Hemp hand cream
Layer Ultra C Sheer and Ultra A Treatment serums on face
Olay eye cream
Blistex on lips!

I realise tonight isn't sunday night but i feel as though my skin and hair needs some pampering tonight, for some odd reason i feel really itchy:

Face:
-cleanser: U/C gel cleanser
-Mask: TBS vit e hydrating mask in cheeks and forehead
-Toner: loreal balancing
-rosehip oil
-TBS vit c eye serum

Hair:
-shampoo x 2: tigi honey and oatmeal
-treatment: PPS active
-Joice straightening cream stuff
-PPS leave in moisturiser on the ends
-Blow dry

Body:
-Dove exfoliating body wash on my shower puff
-Pumice feet
-Shave legs
-TBS white musk body butter
-TBS hemp foot protector
-Billabong frangipani hand cream
-Seacret cuticle oil on toenails and fingernails

I can't stop thinking about how badly i wanna go home and do all this stuff. I've had such a boring day today.

Am loving the Alpha-H masks that I have been using on Sundays lately. I have the Clay and the Hydrating Glycolic -- have only used them once each so far, but I believe you can use them one after the other for great results (Clay first, then Glycolic)! Will try it soon.

One question -- anyone have tips for stopping your hands from getting dry and wrinkly in the bath? That is one thing that I don't like!

So this is what i'm gonna do:
-shampoo and condition hair
-put a blonde toner in
-blow dry and straighten hair for work tomorrow
-cleanser, exfoliate and do a brightening mask (its a palmers one i'm trying to use up)
-toner
-rose hip oil - because i feel my skin needs a boost
-eye cream
-then cover my body in my richest body butter

I'm looking forward to my pampering night.
