Yesterday I wore the Velvet Lip Lift Moisture Shine I got as part of the $2 samples from their site. It is an excellent size for a sample only just a bit smaller than a regular one and I love the packaging. Sorry I am not sure of the colour but I am guessing it is No1.
I was super impressed with it's durabilty yesterday, it lasted all day. :worship: Even after eating & drinking. After 5hrs I went to reapply & realised I didn't have a mirror with me so I just popped on a bit of lip balm. When I got home though I was surprised to see my lips were still stained with colour :penguin: Excellent. I will look at getting more of these. The texture is lovely & light, its kinda like a liquid lipstick with a velvet/semi matte finish.

Any more reviews or their products?
I am trying the Powerlift Superstar eye srum which is nice but its a bit hard to judge an eye cream by sample. I think you need to use it long term to see results. But it doesn't hurt my eyes so that is a bonus.

Medusa, I have the same one. I bought the samples as well as a couple of full size ones and I thought I was dreaming when I saw how long it lasted!
One product I am super impressed with is the Velvet MaxiLift foundation. It states that it lasts for 18 hours. Really like the Vienna colour on me and the finish. Despite being up there in $$, a lilttle goes a long way. Damn, just repurchased two Model Co foundations!!

The mirenesse compact foundation is awesome, it was my first Adore purchase. Its the best one I have ever used and is in the best compact ever. the mirror never gets dirty and its gold and glamorous.

Nope its very creamy.
It goes on smooth and creamy and dries to a powder finish, but still illuminates, like you dont get the powdery look you get wih so many that dry to a powder.
Its also a great concealer.

I got the Matte foundation the other day Fusspot. Have not tried it yet, still have a full Velvet Lift and my two colours of Model Co 3 in 1 unopened in the cupboard.:redcheeks:
Not all that keen on the one that comes with the sponge, is it called Emulsion? Blah, as bad as the Chanel one! I dont think they are for me!

the emulsion one took a while to get used to , i learnt very quickly to apply very sparingly :chuckle:
u know i have always wanted to try the matte make up ,but there was always something else to try:shakehead:
i ended up with 2 separate orders as the vienna turned out too dark  i just got the vanilla one in the post today , but i don't know about the colour still , it isn't that great a base colour for me , oh & i ordered the mineral one ages ago & ended up picking the lightest & i should have gotten the next one down
that is the only shitty thing with their foundations , they colours r not across the board , i guess because formulations vary so much
one thing i worked out though , if u order just one thing u don't get hit with the $5 postage , so i think i will be doing that from now on :chuckle:
really though it is so cheap it is worth playing around to see what works

Can you try mixing the Vanilla with the Viena? I am lucky, the Viena is the perfect shade for me but I have to watch the tide marks and blend properly around my jaw.
I got the mineral foundation a long while ago when it first came out (in sheer pearl) but apart from one occasion have not used it. Not terribly fond of the spongy thing on top!
Must try to use the emulsion more sparingly. My FAVE foundation of all time is definitely the Velvet Lift though!
Hey tell me how the $5 postage thing works?
fusspot
27-12-2007, 05:23 PM
yeah i will mix them but i will have to place a watch on the tide mark
btw i unscrew the top of the mineral foundation & carefully dip my brush in , it is such light coverage though
probably good over the matte foundation & balance out the colours
the postage is an extra $5 if u pick more than 1 thing out ,say u get an $8.95 product & a couple of $2 ones , then u get hit [well i did] with a $5 postage fee . where as i just ordered the one $8.95 foundation & that is all i paid

I see, that's what I did on my last order. Although the two times before I ordered over $50 so postage was free.
Will try the mineral foundation without the sponge - thanks for the tip!:waving:

The Emulsion does not work for me either. I too love the Velvet Lift, Vienna is the perfect colour for me. I am interested in the Matte but I think it might be too drying for my skin.

Wow! Sounds like we are twins!:chuckle:
I will let you know what the matte one is like when I try it. I think it might be best with a good moisturiser and primer underneath to stop it going patchy.

I ordered the tinted moisturiser today, their free gift (8,95 postage). Unfortunately I did not realise till after I ordered that it comes in 4 different colours and their offer was for the darkest one, which more than likely will be no good for me. Silly me for not checking. :shakehead:

I am spending too much at Mirenesse!
Lately I have bought mascara, mineral make up, emulsion foundation, I also got the GWP of the 4 lip velvets when I got the mascara.
I have gone from someone who would wear minimal make up if any to someone who must have eyes and lips on! :chuckle::chuckle:

Hi Isabella, I got the tinted moisturiser too, its Opal isnt it?? Im quite fair and it works on me, its really irredesent and the kind of that will blend with most skin tones. I love it.
Also got the navy eyeshadow/liner, which i also love, it stays put all day, can use it so many ways too and the primer...which doesnt really do much for me

I think the Opal is the lightest, I have this one too. It is quite pearly and I am not really sure how to use it. Doesnt really do much for me by itself, do you think I should mix with foundation?

Yea, or just over top of your normal mosturiser? Thats what i do for make-up free days, i really want the darker one now.....:chuckle: Opal is the second one up from lightest.

I need the darker one too, Oapl, although providing a nice sheen does nothing for my skin. I always use the Clarins tinted moist but I like to look out for others. Unfortunately nothing has even come close....:shakehead:
