it's my dad's birthday and I have not seen him in six months! He is visiting as of tomorrow for just a few days(he has been here to melbourne before). This is a man who has pretty much everything. I want to take him out on thursday for a nice lunch involving yummy wine and some good food...

Kate has suggested the Melbourne Wine Room... I need to look into this.. but any other ideas of 'cool ways to spoil dad on his birthday while his in a new city' would be very much appreciated!

I'm not a Melbournite (my bad luck) so can't offer any local tips...so basically not much help, gah.

But what kind of stuff is he into Lady A? Bloke stuff? Or is he more your refined breed of dad?
