I've never had green tea, or any tea for that matter. And I hate coffee. It's all about the OJ with me

I loooooooooooove green tea!:penguin::penguin::penguin: The first time I ever had it I didnt really like it as it didnt taste like other herbal teas I like, but after making it not too strong I got used to it and now Im in love! I like mine with a little bit of mint in it. I even dont mind letting it sit until it goes cold and then drinking it. Apparently this makes it bitter but I think its ok tasting even then. I should stop drinking it at night though... i cant sleep afterwards hehe:typing:

No green tea for this little black duck :penguin: (hang on, that's a penguin...oh well, close enuff). I know it's really good for me but can't get past the taste. I prefer white tea - it's actually said to contain more antioxidants than green.

Can someone tell me if jasmine tea is green tea? Is it green tea sometimes and black tea sometimes?
I have T2 jasmine tea. It looks green to me but the jasmine tea I bought years ago from chinese shops was black.

Nope teacake jasmine tea is not green tea. jasmine tea is made from jasmine flowers and leaves and greentea is made from a different leaves (I cant remember the technicall word for it). The reason maybe your green teas have been once green and once black is because theirs different types of green teas. However the common variety is just green looking when made. Hope that helps!

Yep green tea icecream is yummy~ I like it cause it doesnt make icecream overly sweet (not that that is particularly bad or anything) just depends what mood your in! I actually got green tea powder from a korean grocery shop which you can sprinkle over creamy vanilla icecream at home! yummy! Oh and just for a fact of the day, my korean friend told me that green tea lattes are all the rage now in korea :spin: I dont know about you, but even for a lover of green tea like me thats a little much hahaha:typing:

Hi Shuzitsu
I am an absolute addict to green tea and white tea.
T2 has a great selection and they also used to have a geen tea powder product to make icecream, I loved it last summer.
T2 also has an online store
Cheers

Usually, it is covered in sweet crumbs, seeds or something similar than quickly deep fried until coating browns.

Brightler, you simply scoop balls of ice-cream and put them in freezer to become really hard.
Roll them in an ingredient of your choice ie; sweet crumbs or seeds then return to freezer.
When ready to cook, heat oil then add balls and fry until golden. Drain and serve.

I've had my first cup of green tea yesterday since 1 year ago. I used to drink it before but it would make my stomach hurt and make me feel really sick, so i stopped drinking it. But yesterday afternoon i was solo in the office so i thought i'd go downstairs and see what kinda teas we had. I had a cup of green tea yesterday afternoon and i was fine!!!!! yayayayya
I absolutely love this tea and i'm so happy i can drink it again because i love to drink something in bed at night while i watch TV.

I know this is quiet an old thread but I just had to get my two cents worth in  Green tea is my absolute favourite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I luv the lipton green tea with mint. The mint really takes the green teaishness away from it and adds a little sweetness. I recommend it for all green tea virgins ;)
