What scented things do you adore and wish they were available as a perfume?

I love Redken clear moisture shampoo- I practically swoon with happiness every time I wash my hair and smell it!

Yes, good choice :) But I can't use it as my skin is oily and its too heavy for me. I should buy a tub just to smell it!

Mmmm, I could just sit there and smell this delish cream forever. Have not used it in a while as my skin is loving the UC range.

A products that has an unusual scent (which I would probably wear!) is the green bottle of Palmers Smoothing lotion. Noice!

I just thought of another one- Clarins cleansing milk with gentian. x

Haha I had this conversation on another forum! My pick is Crabtree and Evelyn hand therapy in Lavender. It's a really fresh, powdery lavender and I haven't smelled it anywhere else. It's not Nanna-ish at all, and I think lavender is due for a major comeback!

Medusa,
You have given me a mission. I am hunting for a true frangapani fragrance for you right now!

Medusa,
Had a bit of a hunt through my fragrance book to see what I could find. There are so many fagrances with frangipani in the notes but one that stood out to me was:

Frangipani Absolute by Ormonde Jayne - it has received some very good reviews from consumers who confess to be "frangipani devotees". Not sure if you have heard of it before or not.

Also locally I found a Frangipani Solid Perfume Balm. It's inexpnsive at only $9.95. You can have a look at:

I will continue to keep my eyes and ears open for you Miss Medusa.

I know what you mean, Medusa. I love the scent of fresh, old fashioned roses- My auntie grows ones that are at least 20 years old and the perfume is divine- heavy, sensual, romantic. I find many rose-based perfumes lose that sexy freshness and smell a bit mundane, or old.

Gee thanks PCC you perfume mistress you! :kissing:
I have never heard of those ones before, I'll check them out.
Lots of people do a Frangapani scent but it often smells very synthetic & to girly floral for me. I think Frangapanis have an earthy base to their heady scent with a high sweet note. Hard one to pin down.

Medusa, I bought my mum a "perfume balm" in a little silver tin pot that was a delicate frangipani scent. Cant remember the brand and dont think she kept pot?

Sounds like the Viva La Soap one. I have their Jasmine & Ylang Ylang one, wearing it today. Didn't go for their Frangapani though.

Dont remember that being the name. They were in a shiny tin, small ones for perfume balms and larger flat ones for moisturising balms. Bought it from a store called The Green Grocer (no food in sight!) store in Brunswick St, Fitzroy. Will check if mum still has tin xo

I'm on the hunt for a lovely pure Jasmine scent. It's a fun quest to be on though!

Things I wish were a perfume: the MOP pear haircare line, most of the Lush products.

There is a Neutrogena facial scrub that has a very delicate mandarine scent. I would love to have this in perfume.. however most of the time any fragrance that starts off with mandarine topnotes quickly drys down to Fanta. So disappointing.

Isn't the Jasmine in Renee's range quite good? Who has this?

Yep, I have this M, it's a lovely warm fragrance with good Jasmine notes. But still searcing for the 'ultimate' (aren't we all searching for the ultimate something or other??)

RBB do you find that most Jasmine perfumes are too heavy and "sexy"? Whenever I try a Jasmine perfume it's usually quite heady and is something I would wear at nighttime, but that's never what I'm after. I want the Jasmine that grows on someone's fence, that is a pretty, ultra-girly, daytime smell!

Yes, have found a lot of them to be pretty full-on...I'd like something lighter too. If I could just cover myself in the flowers every day I think it'd do the trick! Could attract a few bees though, eep!
